June 9 2013 saw Brad Pitt in Sydney for the Australian Premiere of World War Z for Paramount Pictures at the Star Event Centre.

CTG was chosen as the technical partner for this 3D event at one of Australia’s newest and best concert venues. We supplied an 18m wide Harkness Spectral 240 silver screen, 2x RealD XL 3D systems,2x Doremi DCP2000 Playback servers and 2x Christie CP2230’s. The secondary system was purely for failure redundancy. The event was a complete success in all aspects. The audio system at the Star Event Centre was mind blowing and the images were perfect. The overall presentation was described as being by far the best representation of the film makers’ intent to date. Although we had the backup system, we did not have to revert to it as the equipment ran without fail.

CTG is proud to have been chosen to supply the projection system for the Forum Theatre for 2012 and 2013.

"DCP is problematic for a film Festival. Particularly when up to 5 different DCPs are to be screened per day, every day for 18 days. This is more difficult when many of our venues are not permanently set up for DCP. So without an LMS content control and KDM management become major issues. HOYTS CTG assisted us in cutting though these issues by supplying totally reliable equipment, multiple servers that were networked and installing to full DCI requirements including auditorium tuning. They even offered a back up service which to date we have never had to use. This enabled us to run a 300 plus film festival program without any technical interruptions. Thank you, Hoyts!"
